Netflix is the content streaming giant responsible for most of our current binge worthy favorites.
Requirements
Goodbrother collaborated with Netflix Family on this four-episode docu-series following actress Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) as she talks to pregnancy experts, friends, myth-busters, doctors, and even the editor-in-chief of Women’s Health in order to get ready to welcome her first baby.
Netflix wanted to create a show that is dynamic and entertaining, while also getting real about pregnancy and parenting, and educating viewers about the experience.
Solution
We worked with Netflix to bring their concepts to life and build the structure of each episode. We then jumped into sourcing & casting dynamic, exciting guests for each segment, from pregnancy experts, friends, myth-busters, doctors, and even the editor-in-chief of Women’s Health. We eventually fully produced, edited, and delivered all four episodes of “A Little Bit Pregnant”.

Pre-Production
Our internal team worked with Netflix Family’s creative team to develop the structure of each episode, and narrow down the topics we would explore. We then dove into fully fleshing out the creative aspects of each segment, including writing interview questions for each guest segment, and planning fun interactive segments involving Danielle and her guests. We brought on a Creative Producer to work with our team on sourcing & booking guests for each segment, and our production team worked together to source locations and execute all other aspects of pre-production.
Live Action Shoot
This was a 5 day production shot in 5 locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. We even filmed at Danielle’s baby shower!
Timeline
In three months time, we were able to complete the project from creative development to delivery, including review by both the Netflix team and Danielle Brooks.
