OXYGEN

ICE T UPFRONT

Client

Oxygen is an American digital cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the NBCUniversal. The channel primarily airs true crime programming targeted towards women.

Requirements

Work with Oxygen’s marketing division to create an upfront featuring the legendary Ice T. In the television industry, an upfront is a gathering at the start of important advertising sales periods, held by television network executives and attended by major advertisers and the media. It is so named because of its main purpose, to allow marketers to buy television commercial airtime "up front", or several months before the television season begins.

Solution

Good Brother was selected by Oxygen/NBCUniversal to produce the project, which included storyboarding, set building, and an array of production services. Start to finish took 12 days.

“Every time I work with them I learn more and more about their capabilities as they really help bring our creative vision to the next level. My team and I are always more than thrilled with the production quality and smoothness of both the planning and execution of our projects.”

— HEATHER BACCI, DIRECTOR OF MARKETING PRODUCTION AT OXYGEN

Set Build & Shoot

We built a custom “interrogation room” set at Highline Stages in the Meatpacking District of NYC. The entire shoot was done on a Steadicam which allowed us to move quickly and maintain dynamic movement from shot to shot in the edit.

Timeline

This whole project came together very quickly;  we were able to craft a bid, assemble a full crew, collaborate with client on a plan for production design, build a really cool set, and capture and deliver the footage all in just over 2 weeks.
